One Ocean Foundation is an officially recognized nonprofit foundation dedicated to promoting a nature-positive blue economy through the protection of marine ecosystems. The Foundation implements numerous impactful projects, including recovering plastic from the sea, protecting Mediterranean dune ecosystems, and reforesting Posidonia oceanica, a marine plant endemic to the Mediterranean Sea. Messe Frankfurt actively contributes to these projects with its donation, thus having a tangible impact on the health of the sea.
One Ocean Foundation participated in the inaugural conference of SPS 2024, highlighting the importance of ocean protection as a "blue business opportunity" for companies, demonstrating how it is possible to benefit the sea while simultaneously increasing profits.
